The Outpost is a sibling to Terlingua and Ocotillo Restaurants.

Located a stone’s throw from Terlingua on Washingto n Ave. The Outpost is an expanded market featuring award-winning smoked meats, tex-mex inspired prepared meals, sauces and salsas. The espresso-machine and coffee shop is designed to be a creative outlet for our expereinced team while offering the comforts we all need in our lives day to day. The beer, wine and spiritis selection offers the ability to enjoy a simple, fresh cocktail, glass of wine or pint of beer. Yes- You can curate your own boozy coffee drink! Soft serve ice cream is available year-round with rotating flavors focused on what is fresh and in season. The bakery warmer offers breakfast burritos (we call them- pocket-ritos!), sweet and savory kolaches, made to order panini’s and baked goods, fresh daily. The Outpost Team welcomes you. Glad you asked! The Pocket-Rito is a folded, no mess, panini-style burrito that we prepare to order in small quantities. There are 2-styles:

1. The All-Day-Breakfast (ADB!) is made with fluffy frittata, potato, cheese, black beans and a daily rotating vegetable. It includes a healthy dose of our ZZ Green Taco Sauce.

2. The Smoked Meat Pocket-Rito is a rotating feature of Terlingua’s fresh smoked meat (think brisket or pork shoulder!) with rice, beans, cheese and a healthy dose of our ZZ Red Taco Sauce!

Again, glad you asked! you asked! Koloches are a staple of a Texas breakfast, after being brought to Texas in the 1800s, from Czech Immigrants. Our bakery team produces two different styles fresh, daily:

1. The Sweet Kolache: A fluffy pastry filled with a rotating fruit preserver and Winter Hill Farm cheese.

2. The Savory Kolache: A rotating smoked Terlingua sausage rolled in a fluffy pastry roll with jalapeño peppers and cheese. Don’t forget the sauce!
